THE CHALLENGE
Confident leaders.
Better conversations.
Team leaders are often promoted for their technical expertise without having developed the skills or confidence to manage difficult performance conversations.
Without structured guidance, coaching can become reactive, inconsistent or overly directive, limiting opportunities for meaningful employee development.
THE SOLUTION
Structured coaching.
Realistic practice.
I designed an AI-powered coaching assistant that helps leaders prepare for performance conversations using the GROW coaching framework.
Leaders receive tailored coaching strategies, questions, development activities and follow-up plans. They can then rehearse conversations with an AI employee who responds dynamically to their approach.
THE OUTCOME
From preparation to confident coaching.
The experience combines practical performance support with experiential learning, helping leaders develop coaching skills while preparing for real workplace conversations.
By connecting structured planning, realistic rehearsal and follow-up, the solution is designed to support more confident, consistent and effective coaching.

Inside the Experience
A closer look
1. Identify the Challenge
Leaders describe an employee's performance concern, providing context and defining the desired outcome.
2. Develop a Coaching Strategy
AI generates a tailored coaching approach, highlighting recommended principles, potential pitfalls and strategies for constructive conversations.
3. Apply the GROW Model
Leaders receive tailored questions across Goal, Reality, Options and Will, helping them guide employees towards their own solutions.
4. Plan Development Activities
Practical activities and development actions help translate coaching conversations into measurable workplace improvements.
Explore how team leaders move from identifying a performance challenge to developing a coaching strategy, practising their approach and planning meaningful follow-up.
5. Establish Follow-Up
A structured timeline supports ongoing coaching, progress reviews and accountability beyond the initial conversation.
6. Rehearse the Conversation
Leaders practise with an AI employee, adjusting temperament, difficulty and coaching focus to build confidence in challenging situations.
I designed the experience around the coaching behaviours leaders need to demonstrate in the workplace, combining structured guidance through the GROW model, practical performance support and realistic AI-powered conversation practice to build confidence and capability.
